Pilot Episode 2
ANSU KABIA
Please welcome Ansu Kabia to Tuneful Radio!
Hi everyone!
I’m super excited to share with you Pilot Episode 2 of the Tuneful Radio podcast!
In this episode I am talking to the incredibly talented actor and very dear friend of mine, Ansu Kabia. We go waaaay back and I’m so pleased that he agreed to be interviewed for this podcast.
Since we were teenagers, I’ve always valued the conversations I’d have with Ansu. They were always incredibly stimulating, thought provoking and not to mention fun! Ansu is definitely one of the most interesting people I know and I hope you get as much out of our chat as I did!
Through Ansu’s chosen music, we get talking about 80’s films, how he became an actor and the power of Garage music to unite, amongst lots of other things!!

This is where we look to the future with hope and I share with my guest and unsigned artist who I think they might like!
In The Forest
Music Genre: Indie, Folk, Alternative
In the Forest is an indie-folk group comprised of two sisters and two couples. Becky and Alex and Rachel and Bob.
“A little bit about our song Tired…
Around 5 years ago Becky travelled around South India and whilst on a very long train journey to Mumbai she came up with the riff for the Chorus. The idea kind of stopped there and a few years later she remembered the riff and that’s when the song-writing began. Lyrics were written by Becky & Rachel and the music written and developed (from a very simple riff) by the boys. As a group we worked on developing the structure and harmonies. The lyrics were inspired after reading some of Rupi Kaur’s poetry where she uses concepts of fire to represent strength. Our lyrics ‘I’m the fire, I’m the flame’ really represents the time you realise that you are stronger than the person who tried to bring you down and it’s statement of ‘I’m totally over this and I am stronger than ever’. “
You can stream In The Forest’s ‘Tired’ on all streaming platforms, however think about purchasing their music directly on Bandcamp and show your support to an independent artist!
Don’t forget! You can support independent artists by:
- Buying their music directly – in person or on Bandcamp
- Buying their merch
- Going to their concerts
- Sharing their music with friends
- Following them on social media
